TradingRightThis Privacy Policy explains what information TradingRight ("we", "us", "the Service") collects when you use tradingright.app, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
TradingRight is designed to work without you creating an account. We do not ask for your name, address, or payment details to use the app. The information involved falls into three groups:
- Information stored only in your browser. Your settings, watchlists, drawings, paper-trade orders, and imported trade records are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data is not transmitted to us and is not accessible to us.
- Usage and device data. Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics may automatically record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring page.
- Market data requests. When you load a chart, the symbol and timeframe you request are sent to our backend (and our market-data provider, Alpaca) to return price data. We do not use this to identify you.
2. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.com.
Ads are served on our content pages (such as the Learning Center). Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, though some features may not work as intended without them.
3. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — such as which pages are popular — so we can improve the Service. Google Analytics may set cookies and process usage data on our behalf. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles data.
4. How we use information
- To operate and improve the Service and its features.
- To fetch the market data you request.
- To measure aggregate usage and site performance.
- To display advertising that helps keep the Service free.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by the third-party providers that make the Service work, including our hosting provider, our market-data provider (Alpaca), Google AdSense, and Google Analytics. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
6. Your choices
- Clear your browser's local storage to remove the settings and records TradingRight has saved on your device.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads using the links in section 2.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
