Why install? Real-time data comes from moomoo's OpenD gateway, which only runs on your own computer. The website tradingright.app runs in the cloud and can't reach OpenD on your PC, so it can only show delayed data. TradingRightLive bundles OpenD, the backend and the same interface, and runs them on your PC at http://localhost:8000.

Setup steps

Install TradingRightLive

Download and run TradingRightLive-Setup.exe. It installs into your user folder and puts a TradingRight icon on your desktop. If Windows SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway.

Open a moomoo account

Real-time data needs a moomoo (or Futu) account. Opening one is free. Real-time US quotes need an LV1+ US market-data entitlement on the account; without it, data stays 15 minutes delayed even when everything is connected.

Enter your moomoo login

At the end of the install, Setup opens (you can rerun it later from Start menu → TradingRight Setup). Enter your moomoo account and password. The password is hashed on your PC before it's saved; the plain text is never stored and never sent to TradingRight.

Double-click TradingRight on your desktop

It starts OpenD, waits for it to log in, starts the local backend, and opens http://localhost:8000 in your browser. The first OpenD login usually asks for a code sent to your phone or email: open the "TradingRight OpenD" window in the taskbar, enter the code, then restart.

Create a local account and check for live data

Sign in with your TradingRight website account (accounts are global); your trades and other data are saved only on your PC. The local version has no admin role. When the badge at the top of the chart shows FUTU REAL and the bottom bar shows REAL-TIME, you're on live data.

FAQ

Still showing 15-MIN DELAYED?: OpenD isn't logged in yet (check for a verification code), or the account has no LV1+ US data entitlement. Also check that you opened http://localhost:8000, not tradingright.app.
Can I use my website account?: Yes: accounts are global, so your website login works in the local app. Your trades and other data stay on your PC.
How do I stop or uninstall it?: Start menu → Stop TradingRight stops it. Uninstall from Windows Settings → Apps; your local database is kept and has to be deleted by hand.
Does it work on Mac or iPad?: The installer is Windows-only for now. On Mac, iPad and phones, keep using the website (delayed data).
